A winter storm will impact the region Monday and Monday night, bringing heavy snow and a wintry mix. An axis of 6 to 10 inches could fall from Iowa, across southern Minnesota and into northern Wisconsin. On the southeast side of the storm, a wintry mix with sleet, freezing rain and snow is more likely. Winter Storm Warnings will be in effect for Monday and Monday night. Prepare now for hazardous to dangerous travel conditions. High snowfall rates will quickly deteriorate road conditions. The evening commute will be impacted. Wind gusts upwards of 30 to 40 mph will add an additional hazard.
