Winter weather returns today and tonight with significant early spring snowfall likely for many. Precipitation overspreads much of the area through the evening. The snow continues tonight, and could switch over to freezing drizzle overnight. The snow could be heavy at times with localized amounts nearing 7 inches. Despite warm grounds, snow will accumulate on the roads, causing travel impacts. Prepare for hazardous winter driving conditions.
