Threat for additional heavy rain continues.
A persistent weather pattern that favors redevelop of thunderstorms each day, and locally Heavy Rain. Will generate yet another round of storms this afternoon and tonight. Given the abundant rainfall over the past few days and widespread damage in some areas, this additional rain could produce new flooding very quickly.
This could be a dangerous situation for areas already dealing with too much water and flooding.
Flash Flood Watch in effect from 3 pm CDT This afternoon through Monday morning.
The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Flash Flood Watch for portions of Iowa, southeast Minnesota and Wisconsin, including the following areas, in Iowa. Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Floyd, Howard. Mitchell and Winneshiek. In Southeast Minnesota, Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, mower, Olmsted, Wabasha and Winona. In Wisconsin, Adams, Buffalo, Crawford, Grant, Jackson. Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, Trempealeau and Vernon.
- From 3 pm CDT This afternoon through Monday morning.
- Another round of thunderstorms is expected this afternoon or tonight. The storms will be capable of producing Heavy Rain.
- If heavy rain falls in areas already hit by flooding. Faster than normal rain runoff can be expected. More Road closures. Flooded basements, rising rivers, and evacuations could be seen.
